Fery has more than 11 years of experience in driving Lean initiatives. He has driven and deployed CI program in various Industries such as Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Agriculture and Banking across Asia-Pacific and Middle-East. He has served in various high profile positions such as AVP for Group Quality & Service Excellence, Regional Lean Deployment Champion, Master Trainer and facilitator and Lean Management Master / Coach. He has more than 7 years of facilitating and training experience to various levels of the organization from Senior VP for HR to Operation team lead. The workshops he conducted has been very well received as he firmly believes that learning should fun and engaging. Similarly, he has also coached and mentored various levels of the organization in Lean Leadership. 

Fery graduated from the National University of Singapore with a First Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Economics. After graduation, he joined a Leading Oil and Gas company, Schlumberger as their management trainee in manufacturing. He was trained in Lean Six Sigma and led a series of projects that won the second and third Lean Six Sigma awards in Singapore. Subsequently, he led a site lean transformation project which won the prestigious Schlumberger Chairman’s Bronze Award for Excellence. This project also led him to be certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt by Motorola University. Subsequently, he moved on to lead the Asia Pacific Lean deployment of a major chemicals company, DuPont. His engaging and fun approach in conducting Lean workshops led to wide adoption of Lean within the company. Thereafter, he progressed to a regional bank, OCBC where he was the Assistant Vice President for Quality and Service Excellence, focusing on Indonesia and HR Lean transformation projects. He is currently consulting for a Leading Oil & Gas joint venture company in Middle East as their Lean Management Coach / Master to develop and deploy Lean Management.

Ravi is a certified Master Black Belt and Lean Expert & Lean  Master trained from Honeywell with 30 years  of total work experience. Ravi has recently started his consulting & training activities and currently lives in Singapore. His past professional engagements are as follows:

From 30 Nov 2013 to Dec 2017 Ravi was with Standard Chartered Bank as an Executive Director, Projects & Process Excellence in FCRMP(Financial Crime Risk Mitigation Programme) driving process/ control improvements & process  risk assessment in Financial Crime Compliance and Information security risk assessment.

From 2011 to 2013  Ravi was in APAC  Lean-Six Sigma & Quality regional leadership  role  in Honeywell as Director, Quality for Aerospace Integrated Supply Chain , Honeywell Aerospace APAC. In this role he was responsible for  Quality & Continuous Improvement using his Lean Master & MBB skills and provided leadership to 11 Sites in APAC region. He has successfully implemented Built In Quality program to eliminate customer escapes in 9/11 sites with sustainable standard work in place.

 From 2007 to 2011  as a Regional Lean- Six Sigma  Director of Honeywell Aerospace, APAC, he was  responsible to drive operational efficiency using Lean & Six Sigma in Aerospace  sites in Asia with realized savings more than $50M in 2008-2010. 

From 2003 to 2007 as a Regional Director of Six Sigma &  for Projects & Process Excellence, APAC with the responsibility of Six Sigma deployment in Global Business Services and supported process improvement initiatives in  functions such as  IT,HR, Finance with savings of $16M ( Including MBB certification project in IT infrastructure cost reduction of $3.6M in 2004) In 2005 He was driving Lean for services program globally and applied Lean tools in improving service process quality, cycle time reduction and  waste elimination. He has completed Lean expert certification in 2006 through Lean implementation in Finance transformation Project. IN 2005 he was  leading a team of 12 Project Managers & Black belts/Lean Experts and a MBB, with key responsibility to drive productivity as part Functional transformation in HR services organization

Prior to Joining Honeywell, Ravi has worked  in Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing (as MBB) in deploying Six Sigma Quality improvement  programs where he was instrumental in completing 40 Black Belt projects and 80 Green Belt projects with more than $25M cost savings from Quality & Yield improvements. He has also worked as Black Belt in Allied signal Aerospace & as Six Sigma Manager in Singapore food industries where he has  completed 2 customer focused Black Belt projects with improvement in Quality and Customer satisfaction.

Earlier in his career he has worked in Seagate Technology Suppler Quality division in  Product Transfer functions in coordinating parts qualification of  Asia Pacific suppliers for disc drive components. He has also worked as Site Leader of CNC manufacturing operations/Quality in BPL-Sanyo, India and successfully developed new components manufacturing processes using Lean tools to reduce cost & improve Quality  for more than 500 parts of office automation and home appliances products.

Ravi holds Masters Degree in Production Engineering with Bachelor degree in  Mechanical Engineering and qualified himself as certified CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), Certified ISO Lead Auditor, Certified Management consultant and qualified In CAAS Singapore airworthiness requirements.
